From Aston Martin’s Art of Living Program

Aston Martin today revealed a portfolio of experiences to be offered in 2017 by the British luxury brand’s Art of Living by Aston Martin program, which takes customers beyond sports cars and provides them with the opportunity to live the brand’s lifestyle.

ULTIMATE DRIVES

Headlining the collection of experiences are two new Ultimate Drives. The first will see guests embark on an adventure spanning two continents in three weeks; their journey taking in South Africa, Monaco, Austria, Lake Como and Vienna, including challenging drives and helicopter rides, gourmet dining and undiscovered city sightseeing. For thrill seekers an adrenalin-fuelled Ultimate Drive will provide unprecedented access to some of the world’s top motor races: 24 Hours of Le Mans, Goodwood Festival of Speed, and an experience with our Innovation Partners, Red Bull Racing at their home race in Austria.

Aston Martin Executive Vice President and Chief Creative Officer Marek Reichman commented: “It is exciting to see the Aston Martin’s Art of Living team has curated such an incredible collection of experiences for 2017. I’m particularly impressed with the content of the new Ultimate Drives, which truly are once-in-a-lifetime journeys. Anyone attending these experiences will get to indulge in the soul of the brand.

ON-TOUR

The “On Tour” experiences provide the opportunity to drive an Aston Martin sports car along some of the world’s most breathtaking driving routes. A five-day tour of California will take guests from the Golden Gate Bridge to the beautiful Big Sur before heading onto Santa Barbara, Palm Springs and Joshua Tree. For those who prefer the East coast there will be a tour of New York that takes in the Hamptons along the way. In Europe, you can choose from a journey along the Atlantic Ocean Highway in Norway, which is world renowned for its beauty, or a tour of Bavaria in Germany or a drive from Madrid to Bilbao in Spain, taking in exquisite hotels along the way.

TRIPS-OF-A-LIFETIME

Those seeking a holiday with a difference are invited to experience Cuba the Aston Martin way.  The trip-of-a-lifetime to Havana will take in a visit to the Buena Vista Social Club, where guests can meet one of the original group members before being invited to record their own Cuban sounds. A tour of Havana in 1950s cars will provide guests with a great view of the city and the trip will be completed with cigar and mojito making classes. To indulge in a very different culture, the Art of Living by Aston Martin will also offer a Japanese experience. Guests will take in the galleries and gastronomy of Tokyo before traveling on the Bullet Train to Kyoto where they will experience a traditional Japanese tea ceremony performed by Geishas.

ICE DRIVING

For those looking for exhilarating experiences, Aston Martin knows the answer is Ice Driving. In 2017, the program invites the daring to enjoy the thrill of ice driving in destinations including New Zealand, the U.S.A and Finland. A special experience in Courmayeur, Italy will also combine ice driving with the ultimate ski race.

MOTOR SPORT

This unique collection provides exclusive behind-the-scenes access to some of the world’s most prestigious races including Monaco and Silverstone, and a day with our Innovation Partners, Red Bull Racing, which will give guests a unique insight into preparations made when they take their 2017 challenger to the track for the first time at pre-season testing in Barcelona. The highlight of the summer season will be the Le Mans 24 Hours where guests will enjoy exclusive access to the factory Aston Martin Racing team.

DESIGN MASTERCLASSES AND DINNER SERIES

A new offering for 2017 is the exclusive Design Masterclass, which offers the opportunity to learn about the meticulous processes and high level of attention to detail involved in producing an Aston Martin. Hosted by Aston Martin’s experts, guests will be able to enjoy live sketching, clay modeling, and leather trimming first hand to understand the finesse and craftsmanship of these techniques.

Finally, a series of fine dining evenings, hosted by well-known artists and designers will provide a taste of luxury while a tour of the home of Aston Martin will provide a fascinating insight into one of the world’s most aspirational brands.

The Aston Martin Vanquish S takes on the sharpest of styles ever designed by the brand. As the second generation of the Vanquish’s evolution, more attention to design details, the engine, chassis and aerodynamics has been put into play. The thrilling performance is exotic in every way possible. The naturally aspirated 6.0 liter V12 engine produces an astonishing 592 horsepower and gives a sensational throttle response. The freer-breathing intake system gives the new Vanquish S the capability to accomplish this effortlessly.

Add-ons, such as the aerodynamic package, give buyers the option of readily distinguishing the model with striking new quad exhaust outlets and a meaningful reduction in frontal lift. Buyers can further personalize their Vanquish by opting for the new ‘Filograph’ quilted leather seats and by taking advantage of the new materials and finishes. “In its second generation, the Vanquish maintained that momentum with huge engineering advances such as its all-carbon fiber bodywork and compelling, contemporary styling. Now, the Vanquish S takes things a step further, confidently asserting itself within the Aston Martin range and distinguishing itself from the new DB11. A spectacular machine in every sense, the Vanquish S is a magnificent addition to our range” said Doctor Andy Palmer, Aston Martin’s President and CEO. Adding a touch of luxury to every aspect of the motorcar is possible when purchasing an Aston Martin.

Keeping the interior of your new Aston Martin in pristine condition is something that every car buyer strives to do. If you are the type of car owner who likes to do things themselves, look over these tips and tricks you can do to keep your Aston Martin in tip-top shape!

  1. Use the correct cleaning solutions. Not every brand is safe for the materials in your Aston Martin and fabrics may deteriorate if the directions on the cleaner are not followed carefully.
  2. By spraying your selected cleaner onto a soft cloth or sock, you can gently wipe down any surface without the fear of scratching off the finish!
  3. Stubborn stains are difficult to remove at times. By using a toothbrush or cotton swabs, you can reach those hard-to-reach crevices and knock off any sticky residue.

If you decide that detailing your car is best left to the professionals, visit indiGO Auto Group’s  Aston Martin Rancho Mirage on the Desert European Motorcars Campus.

Like something out of a James Bond Movie, the Aston Martin hypercar (codenamed AM-RB 001) looks ultra modern and sleekly futuristic. To create the prototype, the luxury automotive manufacturer partnered with Red Bull Racing, a Formula One team.

Dr. Andy Palmer, Aston Martin President and CEO, explained, “The AM-RB 001 is a truly remarkable project and something of which I’m extremely proud. To have Aston Martin working alongside Adrian Newey of Red Bull Racing and the invaluable assistance of project partner AF Racing AG is an extraordinary creative collaboration. One that unites the very best of road and racecar thinking. As the project gathers pace its clear the end result will be a truly history-making hypercar that sets incredible new benchmarks for packaging, efficiency and performance and an achievement that elevates Aston Martin to the very highest level.” Marek Reichman, Aston Martin’s Chief Creative Officer, added, “Working so closely alongside Adrian and an organization like Red Bull Racing is a fabulous experience. By definition the objectives we’ve set for the car ensures there has never been an Aston Martin – or any car, actually – quite like the AM-RB 001. The shared challenge has been finding that magical tipping point where we achieve the most efficient engineering solutions and the most beautiful styling solutions without any compromises. My personal challenge has been expressing the AM-RB 001’s extraordinary performance and the unique way in which it delivers that performance. Its style reflects its revolutionary nature, while possessing the form and beauty that makes it unmistakably an Aston Martin.”

The team is excited to move the car into production. There will be between 99 and 150 AM-RB 001 road models produced, including prototypes and track-only versions. Keep an eye out for this automobile of the future, hitting the roads in 2018. Everyone at indiGO Auto Group is looking forward to seeing the finished product and testing the innovative engineering on the roads of Rancho Mirage.

Recently, Aston Martin unveiled the brand-new, limited-edition Vanquish Zagato, the result of a partnership between the car manufacturer and Italian automotive design powerhouse Zagato. Zagato was founded in 1919, and has developed the bodies of some of the most iconic cars in the industry—from Aston Martins and Lamborghinis to Maseratis and Bugattis. The design company specializes in limited-edition models intended for collectors.

Aston Martin will produce only 99 Vanquish Zagatos at their facility in England. It is the fifth Aston-Martin to be created in conjunction with Zagato. Other cars developed through this collaboration include the DB4 GT Zagato released in 1960 (now valued at over $12 million dollars), the V8 Vantage Zagato in 1986, the DB7 Vantage Zagato in 2002, and the V12 Vantage Zagato in 2011. According to Aston Martin, “The Vanquish Zagato is a powerful addition to that portfolio: a GT car that blends Aston Martin’s inherent refinement and capabilities with Zagato’s characteristic design details, born out of racing and honed over many years of creating elegant luxury sports cars. Aston Martin’s 6.0L V12 powertrain has been uprated to increase its output to 600PS1, capable of delivering a projected 0-60 mph time of 3.5 seconds. This added performance matched to a unique suspension setup will create a GT driving experience specific to the Vanquish Zagato model.”

The Vanquish Zagato will be ready for delivery in the first quarter of 2017. To chat about purchasing a Vanquish Zagato, stop by indiGO Auto Group’s Aston Martin Rancho Mirage on the Desert European Motorcars Campus.

v12-vantage-s-manual-news1 (1)Underlining its commitment to building exceptional sports cars that appeal to the most discerning enthusiasts, Aston Martin has ushered in its 17MY range by offering the sensational V12 Vantage S with a manual transmission.

True icons of pure performance blessed with exceptional agility, each V12 Vantage S transmission option delivers its own unique character and dynamic emphasis; the manual unashamedly championing classic tradition and total driver engagement, while the Sportshift™ III transmission offers a more contemporary driving experience. Both exude the unrivaled sporting qualities for which the V12 Vantage S is renowned.

Director of Product Development, Ian Minards said: “We’re all enthusiasts here at Aston Martin. Building cars that offer something exceptional is what we do. Technology drives us forward, but we understand the importance of tradition. The true purist will always hanker for the tactility and connection offered by a manual transmission, so it has been a real pleasure to offer just that in our fastest and most focused model. At a time when manual transmissions have almost entirely disappeared in high performance cars, this makes the manual V12 Vantage S a very special car indeed”.

The seven-speed manual transmission features a classic dog-leg first gear position; an echo from the past that will be welcomed by driving enthusiasts. This dog-leg configuration also ensures the gears used most frequently are located in a double ‘H‘ pattern like that of a conventional 6-speed manual.

The new manual transmission also features AMSHIFT. The system, which is driver selectable uses clutch, gear position and propshaft sensors, together with finely-tuned programming of the engine management, to mimic the technique of heel-and-toe downshifts; the act of blipping the throttle while braking and changing gear. AMSHIFT also offers the capability of full-throttle upshifts for maximum smoothness and minimal interruption in acceleration.

AMSHIFT can be used in all driving modes, but is especially effective in Sport, with the sharper throttle response and louder exhaust note really emphasising the downshift throttle blip for maximum excitement.

Though their style of delivery are different, whether manual or Sportshift™ III, potent performance is guaranteed with the V12 Vantage S accelerating from a standstill to 62mph in 3.9sec and both can reach 205mph.

Aston Martin CEO Dr Andy Palmer said, “Broadening the scope of the V12 Vantage S with a manual transmission option is an indication of our desire to offer the keenest drivers a more analogue and immersive machine to enjoy. I’d like to take this opportunity to reiterate that the manual gearbox remains an integral part of our product plans and will do for many years to come.”

A new Sport-Plus Pack option includes a raft of exterior and interior changes. Foremost amongst these is a choice of five body colours, which can be combined with no-cost optional accent colours applied to the front grille lipstick, side sills, mirror caps and rear diffuser blades. Ten-spoke graphite finish lightweight alloy wheels complete the Sport-Plus Pack’s exterior changes, while a choice of black or grey upholstery with stripes and contrast stitching offered in a range of accent colours create a suitably dramatic interior theme.

17MY also marks other important changes to the Vantage range, with the V8 models now consolidated into Coupe and Roadster versions of the V8 Vantage S. Mechanically unchanged, the timelessly stylish V8 Vantage S receives a range of small detail changes to the exterior and interior. Together with five new option packs offering broad scope for personalisation and even greater value the V8 Vantage S is a compelling and competitive entry point to the Aston Martin range.

One change to be implemented across all current model lines is the new AMi III infotainment system. This includes a new integrated Satellite Navigation system that offers significant improvements over the outgoing AMi II technology. Key areas of improvement are the integrated graphics, quicker and easier address input, reduced loading times, updatable maps, graphical itinerary planning, advanced traffic information, enhanced map graphics and a greater range of voice guidance options. AMi III also incorporates Apple© CarPlay© to enable the integration of iPhone© functions into the built-in display.

In addition to the new AMi III Infotainment and Satellite Navigation System upgrade, both 17MY Rapide S and Vanquish model lines are offered with a range of new option packs. Carefully created to simplify the specification process, these option packs continue to offer added value and a huge range of exterior and interior colour, trim and detailing combinations.

First deliveries of the manual V12 Vantage S are scheduled to begin during the third quarter of 2016.
